Welcome to the home page of Llangwm Wasps U7s rugby team!

UNDER 7S COACH’S ROLE
• Develop a love of the game in children
• Develop evasion skills with ball in two hands and standing pass to standing receiver

At U7 level Tag Rugby is played which is a simple non-contact version of Rugby Union that enables young boys and girls to learn ball skills and teamwork before progressing onto the contact version of the sport at U9 level - for more information click on http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/llangwm/d/documents.html and download the Pathway booklet.

All new players, male and female, are welcome - just come along to training or contact the club or any of the committee. Training times are shown below. Matches, whether home or away, are usually at 1100 on Sundays. Our team selection process is simple - if you turn up, you get a game! After matches, a free meal is provided for players in the club house.

This season the Mini/Junior membership will be £15 which will cover all children who are members - your child will not be able to play rugby unless they are a member of the club and are registered with the W.R.U. This membership is also essential for insurance purposes.

Once again this year we have playing shirts for all our mini teams, and we are extremely grateful for the generous contributions from all our sponsors. We will issue the shirts on the day of the match only, they will then be collected back in after the match and laundered ready for the next game. Your child will need to have their own shorts, Wasps socks and boots, and come prepared with clean clothes to change into after the game before going into the club for post-match refreshments.

As always, we rely heavily on the support of parents and if you would like to volunteer to help the coaches or to become a committee member we would love to hear from you. However if you do not wish to take on a regular role, we still need your help by making bacon rolls and sausage and chips on match days; selling and buying raffle tickets; and attending our fun raising events (the list goes on). Anything you can do to help Llangwm RFC continue to provide fun, confidence building, and rewarding experiences to children will be massively appreciated. The most important thing you can do however is to ensure your child attends training and matches and behaves in a way that supports the teams and the coaches and continues to make us a club to be proud of.
