Llanidloes entertained Crickhowell on this crisp January morning and eventually succeeded in gaining a victory which was well deserved. ROB JONES used his strength and speed to power over for the first try and was quickly followed by new recruit Dion Kohler who evaded a number of tackles to score a well taken try .
Llanidloes tackled well throughout the game as forwards and backs defended their lines ,ROB JONES led from the front driving the visitors back on several occasions .Crickhowell forwards played a controlled game and were very powerfull in the contact area and counter rucked wherever possible driving the Llanidloes back ,however Llanidloes responded well and gained parity as the game continued .Frankie Bachgalupo ,floyd Lewis , Kristian Frantz Morgan and Cai Lewis were a constant threat to the visitors and made inroads into the crickhowell defence When flyhalf Tom Jarman was forced to leave due to a leg injury Llanidloes reorganized pushing Cai Lews to the number 10 birth,as the first half came to the final moments Kristian Frantz Morgan spotted a gap and eluded a number of tackles and showed good pace to score near the posts .Special praise to Daniel Corfield and Rhys Woosnam who did well in their new roles in the team .
Crickhowell regrouped and scored at the start of the second half drawing the teams level as they scored outwide.Llanidloes responded as Bachgalupo took a quick penalty passing to Dion kohler who scored after a fine run through the middle of the visiting defence .The last Llanidloes effort resulted from excellent play along the backline allowing Ieuan Ashton Phillips to drive up the touchline and score in dramatic fashion and clinch the victory .Congratulations to all the players who have worked hard this season but must now target the next game with the same focus.
