Match Report Llanidloes -15s 20 Nov 2011

Frankie Bachgalupo 1 try
Colin Markam 1 try
Tom Jarman 1 conversion
Llanidloes started well in this local derby and contested well but failed to defend in numbers at crucial times and were unlucky to lose this game by the end margin .Aber scored the first points attacking wide from securing quick ball .Llanidloes then settled into the game and attacked the Aber line through their strong running forwards ,eventually they failed to prevent Floyd Lewis making ground who drove into the Aber defence creating space for Frankie Bachgalupo to score from close range. These two forwards epitomised the Llanidloes effort through the whole game, they were ably assisted by Colin Markam ,Ieuan Phillips and Kristian frantz -Morgans who all had a major impact on the Llanidloes game .Llanidloes began to dominate towards the end of the first half and continued to close the gap in the second half when Colin Markam scored an excellent try after hard work from the forwards .Aberystwyth scored a number of tries after a couple of mistakes and poor tackling in the backs .Aberystwyth deserved to win this game as the game entered the last quarter and punished the home team moving the ball wide and at speed. Llanidloes played Cai Lewis in the inside centre position for this game as the two usual centres were unavailable ,he indeed had an excellent game in attack and defence but Floyd Lewis gained the man of the match ward from the opposition coach for his top class driving play .
With increased numbers Llanidloes will look forward with confidence to the rest of the season.
Full credit to the Ref Malci Pugh who had an excellent game.
