Llanidloes made the long journey to Crickhowell with 13 players missing mostly forwards who were unavailable for this game. The Cae Hafren team were forced to play three backs in the forwards Rowan Evans,Dylan Stephens and Jack Jones who worked hard against a large Crickhowell pack .The Crickhowell no 8 broke away in the early exchanges but was denied on the line ,Llanidloes replied through new recruit Jack jones who outrun the whole home team but was unfortunate to be held up five meters from the line.
Llanidloes found it difficult to control the counter rucking game of Crickhowell and the home teams scrum but battled well especially in the second half. It was unfortunate that Llanidloes gave a number of cheap tries away in the first 20 minutes as Crickhowell controlled the contact area. Llanidloes missed crucial ball carriers in this game and also failed to defend the speedy home centre on more than one occasion who attacked in the wider channels . Llanidloes had many opportunities to score but the final pass let them down, Frankie Bacgalupo again scored a well earned try after some excellent driving play .Bacgalupo ROB JONES and Lleu Bleddyn worked tirelessly all game and were a constant threat in the breakdown zone.
With a full team Llanidloes should start to see an improvement in results after the xmas break .
