Bad weekend at the office

Both sides suffered heavy defeats at the weekend in the Welsh Cup and Emrys Morgan Cup.

The first team traveled to Cymru Alliance side Holywell Town at the weekend and were behind within the first 5 minutes to an offside goal. A nasty clash of heads followed which disrupted the game and Holywell scored a further goal before the half time whistle.

The hosts then had a purple 15 minutes scoring 3 quick fire goals and the scoring was completed late on with the centre forward completing his hat trick.
Despite the scoreline Llan performed well and were undone by some clinical finishing from Holywell.

We wish them well in the next round (away to Aberystwyth).

The reserves also came up against a strong opposition, who played some very good football. Despite starting strongly the reserves were 2 down at the break. Another two goals midway through the half doubled the lead but Llan were buoyed by a good goal from Sam Sefton. The visitors completed the scoring late on. Hay St Mary's were a good side and the reserves can be proud of the effort and endeavour that they showed.

Again we wish Hay well all the best in the next round.
