It was a muggy day and the visitors started strongly. They were two goals to the good inside the first quarter of an hour - the second an outstanding free kick from 25 yards. At this stage it looked like it was going to be a long afternoon for the hosts. However the midfield slowly gained control of the game and we started creating chances. 10 minutes before the break we were back in the game after Kieran Evans nodded in.

We started the second half strongly and were on level terms inside 10 minutes, Dale Evans drilling in after the ball dropped to him on the edge of the box. We were now in control of the game and were creating numerous chances. From one of these chances on 75 minutes we scored the final goal, Kieran getting his brace.

The visitors forced the home team back in the final 10 minutes but the home defence stood strong and held out for the victory.

This was an excellent workout and game. We would like to thank the visitors for travelling to the Tanat Valley and we wish them well for the season ahead.

We are next in friendly action on Thursday when we travel to Llanfyllin for a 7pm kick off.
