On a perfect evening for a game of football the First Team put in a good shift against visitors Hawarden Rangers. Hawarden took the lead in the 25th minute finishing off thoughtful approach work with a well taken goal.

Welfare responded well in the second half and got their deserved reward in the 70th minute with a fine near post header from Dan Parry from a Mikey Wright corner. Welfare finished the game on the front foot looking the likelier winners of this entertaining contest.
