The First Team lost 3-1 to visitors Saltney Town on Saturday. Mikey Wright gave Welfare an early lead but three goals in a 10 minute spell, late in the first half, put Saltney in the box seat.

The second half was evenly contested and chances were at a premium for both sides.

On Sunday morning the Under 18's went down 3-2 to visitors Borras Park Rangers. Welfare had most of the possession, played some bright football and were unlucky to be on the wrong end of the result. Well taken goals by Tom Hardy and Tom Prebble not quite enough to earn them a share of the spoils.
