Brixham Utd 1 Loddiswell AFC 8
Free scoring Lodds were at it again at Brixham Utd on Saturday. It's now seventeen goals in two games for the Greens, who as a result, climb to sixth in the South Devon Premier Division.
In-form Myles Chalcraft led the scoring for the visitors with a hattrick that takes his tally to fifteen goals in fifteen games. Nine of those have come from the penalty spot where talisman Chalcraft hasn't missed yet.
Also on the score-sheet was the ever-present Robbie Fricker (2), who continues to impress in his first season at The Butts. Fricker had a hand in five of the goals, which on top of his brace, earned him his third man-of-the-match rating.
The rest of the goals were a three way split between former Plymouth Argyle youth player, Chris Graddon, his first for the club, Lee Hammett, making his tenth appearance of the season, and the returning Mark Edmonds, signed back to his home club from Dartmouth AFC. There was also a debut for former Ivybridge Town forward, Jamie Lynch, who entered the fray in the second half. The signings of both Lynch and Edmonds gives player manager Richard Gomm yet more options in attack, a welcome headache for the young manager.
On Saturday the Greens turn their attentions to the league cup when they travel to local rivals Totnes & Dartington Reserves. Loddy Reserves are also in league cup action, entertaining high flying Illsington Villa.
