Saturday 30th January will see Chargers enter the Challenge Cup for the third successive year taking on NCL Div 1 Shaw Cross Sharks.

Chargers home for the last 2 years (and also 2016) OLD BLUES RFC will be the venue of our first round Challenge Cup fixture v SHAW CROSS SHARKS.

The match will be played on Saturday 30th January with a kick off at 2PM. All London rugby league fans are invited to the Motspur Park ground to watch Chargers (newly entered into Conference League South) take on the National Conference Division 1 Shaw Cross Sharks.

With a history dating back over 60 years Shaw Cross is a team that wont be taken lightly by Chargers, who are up for the challenge. With Chargers entering the Conference League South in 2016 it will be a good test to see where we are at at this early stage in pre-season. Shaw Cross are a proper Rugby League Club with a long history. They will be another great club to add to the list of clubs Chargers have played in our short 3 years.

2016 is the third year in a row that Chargers have made the Challenge Cup after making the second round in 2014 and losing a close first round match v Widnes West Bank Bears away in 2015. Chargers have qualified by wining the Harry Jepson Trophy for the third year in a row.

The full address of the ground is:
Old Blues Rugby Football Club,
Dornan Fields
Arthur Road,
Motspur Park
Nr. New Malden
Surrey
KT3 6LX

The Club has a fully licensed bar with sky sports and both teams and their supporters are invited back to the club house after the game which we will share with our hosts Old Blues.

Chargers are sill looking for some partners to come on board to help us with the 2016 season. If you or your business is interested in supporting us please contact Cam HERE to discuss the various option which start for as little as £250
