Blueboys Bandwagon Rolls On

Goals in each half by Blueboys pair Jimmy Warner and Greg Shaw see off Hoddesdon Town challenge.

With Mark whittamore stuck in traffic the Blueboys started out with striker Matty Newman in goal with Aaron Clarke taking his place on a cold and blustery evening at Hoddesdons Low Field. Early exchanges were equally shared between the two sides neither side troubling the keepers.
Mark Whittamore eventually turned up and Colney made a substitution after 20 minutes with Aaron Clarke taking one for the team with Matt Newman resuming his normal position up front.
After 29 minutes Jimmy Warner latched on to a trough ball from Trevor Steven and drilled his shot past the home keeper to give the visitors the lead, minutes later a rampant Warner volleyed a shot from 20 yards out only to see the home keeper tip the ball onto the crossbar to save the home blushes.
