3 new coaches bring huge experience to LCRFC in time for new season.

London Cornish RFC is delighted to confirm that it has significantly bolstered its coaching team in advance of the 2015-16 season:

- Former Wasps and London Irish Premiership Front Row Dinos Alexipoulos joins as Forwards Coach

- Former Samoan International, Wasps, Perpignan and London Irish lock Dan Leo, who recently joined London Welsh, joins as Assistant Coach

- Current England Women’s 7s Captain Abi Chamberlain joins as Assistant Coach.

Commenting on the 3 signings, Director of Rugby Dickon Moon added “Though we finished runners up in the league and lost the play-off, we do not have a divine right to promotion next season. The feeling persists that we need to significantly improve again as the other teams in London 2 South-West certainly will. Bolstering the coaching team is essential in demonstrating the Committees commitment to our players in this respect, and I am confident that all 3 will bring something different to us: despite his name, Dinos is actually Cornish having been brought up in Penryn, where he was a junior. He is a friend of our Head Coach Tom Sincock, with whom he had worked at CS Rugby a few seasons ago and his inclusion will mean that our Head, Forwards and Backs (Marc Sweeney) Coaches are all Cornish. Dan is a mate of mine who I have been keen to have on board for a year now, though we couldn’t confirm anything until his club situation was sorted for the season ahead. Abi, who recently helped England Women's 7s qualify on behalf of GB for the next Olympics, was introduced to me through a mutual friend – she is extremely personable and a great communicator who will be able to be involved on Saturdays as well as at training, which is a real help. We look forward to working with all 3 and have one more piece of our coaching jigsaw to confirm before the full team is complete.
