London Cornish head to Farnham RFC for their London Two South-West clash on Saturday - the club where legend Jonny Wilkinson first played the game.

Wilkinson, who grew up in the town, played junior rugby for Farnham, and the club have named the road that their ground is in, and their Annual Outstanding Achievement Trophy after their former star. If Jonny Wilkinson isn't an impressive enough member of the Farnham alumni, the club also boast 2007 World Cup Finalist Peter Richards, and current Glasgow player Ryan Wilson as former players.

The club are well noted for their outstanding facilities, and they are on a steep upward trajectory. Farnham have won promotion for the past three seasons, moving from the Surrey Leagues to London Two South-West.

Farnham will come into Saturday's game having recorded their first win of the season, at Tadley Tigers (20-18) last weekend. At the present time, they have played four of their six games away from home, which has not helped the club's transition to London Two level rugby. On home soil, and buoyed by last weekend's win, the Surrey side will be determined to lower Cornish colours this weekend in the game at Wilkinson Way, which kicks off at 2:30pm.

As for Cornish, they will be looking to build on their return to winning ways last weekend against Effingham & Leatherhead, and hope to erase the memory of their previous road trip, when they went down to a heart-breaking one point defeat with the last play of the game at Warlingham.

Whilst the 2s have no game on Saturday, The Choughs will be looking to record another success in the Middlesex Merit Table Division One when they travel to Ruislip IIs in a game which kicks off at 2:30pm. The Choughs are presently well placed in sixth, with Ruislip two places lower.

The Dukes are in action at The REMPF against Rosslyn Park IVs in the Middlesex Merit Table Division Two, in a game that kicks off at 2:15pm. Park are in fine form, and are top of the table with a 100% record. They are scoring an average of 36 points per game, so will pose a major threat. If you are unable to get to Farnham to support the 1st XV, then please come down to The REMPF to cheer on The Dukes. Anything can, and indeed often does happen in a local derby!
