London Cornish have a trip to Eastleigh on Saturday to take on a Trojans side determined to end a run of losses which leave them near the drop zone.

Trojans find themselves third from bottom in London Two South-West, just five points ahead of Portsmouth, who are in the final relegation place. However, Trojans' Hampshire rivals have a game in hand. Our hosts on Saturday are on a desperate run of just one win in their last eleven matches, (a 26-18 win at Effingham & Leatherhead) and with a tough run of fixtures between now and the end of the season, Trojans will be determined to pick up at least four points from the game.

Cornish's present form is virtually the opposite to the men from Stoneham Lane. They have picked up a club record five successive bonus point wins in a run that encompasses seven wins from their last eight league matches. The Exiles will be out to continue that run as they aim to finish third, which would represent London Cornish's highest ever final league position.

For Black & Gold supporters travelling to the game, Trojans urge you NOT to use their postcode in your sat nav, as it directs you to Stoneham Golf Club, from which it is impossible to gain entry to the ground. Instead, leave the M3 at J14, following signposts to Southampton A33. At the roundabout, bear left into Bassett Green Road (A27 Swaythling & Airport). After 2 miles, pss the Stoneham Arms pub on the left. At the crossroads, turn left into Stoneham Lane. After going underneath the motorway bridge, turn left, signposted to 'Trojans Club'. Parking can be found 500m ahead on the left.

If a trip to Hampshire is a bit too far for you this weekend, then why not head down to The REMPF where the 2s face Chichester's 2nd XV with a 2:15pm kick-off in the Zoo Sports Shield Division Three South. The Sussex side will provide stern opposition as they are presently third, eleven points behind the leaders Ealing Amateurs, but with four games in hand. Chichester have won their last five games on the bounce, but Cornish, who have moved up to 7th place in recent weeks will look for a big performance to keep the points at home!
