The train journey might have seemed unending but after the mammoth trip to Bournemouth a week earlier you wouldn't catch us complaining. The unseasonal hot weather continued and was well complemented by the beach load of sand that had been recently deposited on the Southampton pitch. Inevitably in this hot weather it was never going to be a thrilling game but, as the heatwave started to test the fitness of both sides, the prodigal son returned to Southampton with a whole can of hurt for his former teammates. Olly and Stu combined superbly to finish off the oppo and, whilst the 5-0 scoreline is undoubtedly a little flattering, it was a good win for our lads nevertheless. Next stop Yateley!
