New season, new players, new system but same objective
After a controlled start to the match with little in the way of action within either D for 15mins the first goal came from a move down the right with Seb setting up DJ who strolled around the helpless keeper. The second goal came shortly after with Joe setting up Meller to touch into an open goal. Half-time score 2-0.
After a few tweaks to positions from Al during the half time team talk the second half started with more pressure being put on their defenders. This resulted in the oppo giving up the ball multiple times - unfortunately we failed to capitalise on the chances.
The third goal came after their keeper, determined not to let DJ waltz round him again, ploughed through the back of him resulting in a stroke awarded (after much bitching and moaning from their captain and keeper). What was described as the worst flick ever seen by some was saved by the keeper. Luckily the keeper came off his line early and the flick was taken again and scored.
The fourth goal came from a Huss short corner; after an earlier attempt going high unsuccessfully, Huss decided to go with the slow and down the middle option which resulted in a goal. Toby released his inner thug and picked up a green card before the last goal came from Meller touching in a Huss shot/cross.
Unfortunately nobody forgot the woeful flick resulting in DOD –Seb and DJ getting a well-deserved MOM.
