History

London Falcons FC was formed in 2006. The first official friendly match was played in Barnes against Kew FC. Not only did the Falcons complete their first ever 90 minutes as a team, they also scored the first ever Falcons goal through James Edeki who would go on to be highest club goalscorer.

In maiden 2006/07 season the team competed in the London Unity Football League. In addition to the fixtures, the team played friendlies up and down the country. It proved to be a successful season with the team coming second in the league behind champions GFC Bournemouth.

During the 2007/2008 season, we entered a LGBT team into the Gay Football Supporters Network (G.F.S.N.) National league. The team went on to win the G.F.S.N. in it's first full season, recording 8 wins and just 1 defeat. With 2 teams entered into the LUFL, the team went on to win the league comfortably.

It was decided by the (then) chairman Craig Randall in December 2008 that he wanted to form his own 'mainstream team' away from the original LGBT set up. The GFSN and LUFL Falcons teams proudly continue today under the name 'Falcons GFC' and are now operated by a committee of elected players.

We are proud to continue the original ethos of London Falcons FC, which is to encourage gay men to play football in a competitive but social and supportive environment.
