Not the best!
A long day at Banbury
As a group we've previously enjoyed our trips to Banbury's festival but this year things didn't go well. Far too long between games and over ambitious time tabling lead to bored kids and frustrated parents. The damp and grey weather didn't help though the new age group shelter and flag worked well.
We started off against Chinnor and were as a team at best flat. It was a tight game ending 0 - 0 but we didn't play anywhere near where we have been.
Over an hour later we played again against one of several Buckingham sides in the event. Buckingham edged it 1 - 0 and again we were'n't really at the races and struggled to cope with Buckingham's defensive line speed and rucking
The sun came out for game 3 against Stroud and with it Buckby regained some of there mojo scoring 3 tries in a much improved performance. Kally and John M (2) scoring finishing a much improved team performance.
Our final game against Chipping Norton came after a very long wait but the rugby played continued it's upward trend and the performance was actually better than the 3 - 1 scoreline suggests. A very determined Jacob, David and Aiden scored the tries and we left a few out there as well.
Overall one to forget though it was good to see us finish much better than we started!
