Long Eaton Rugby has been presented with two signed England Rugby shirts, worn by two of the club's players who were selected to represent the country's under 20s team on the tour of Georgia Earlier this year.
Dec Neary and Jacob Wright were selected from over 3,000 counties players from across the UK to wear the red rose and faced the Georgian team twice over the two-week tour in May. Both players featured in the line-up for the test matches, helping England to clinch victory in two exciting and dramatic last-minute wins.
The pair donated their shirts to the club as a thank you to all of the coaching staff and members for their support throughout their journey with the England Squad. The shirts will hang proudly in the team's club house on West Park in Long Eaton.
Chairman at Long Eaton Rugby, Chris Brookes, was delighted with the generosity of Jacob and Dec.
He said: "It's a great honour to have two England shirts worn by our very own players to hang in our club house. As England Under 20's Manager, I was over the moon with the incredible result of the England tour in Georgia and as Long Eaton Chairman, I was so proud to see two of our own run out wearing the red rose.
"I would like to thank Jacob and Dec for their kindness in donating their prized shirts to the club and look forward to further supporting their future rugby careers. I have no doubt they will be incredibly successful."
