| Long Eaton Utd Reds | 1 | vs | 1 | Toton FC |
Forget Man utd & Man City what a classic Long Eaton utd v Toton fc
The top two teams met in division 1 and it turned out to be a classic.
Both teams are a credit to football, a game with passion, commitment and some excellent football.
A stressful game for managers and coaches, but for the neutral, what a game to watch.
Straight from the off, both teams attacked, in an end to end thriller. On four minutes a long throw from Jack, flicked on by James, fell to the feet of Reece who slotted the ball home from six yards to make it 1-0 to Long Eaton.
The game continued with both teams playing with great passion and some great individual battles going on, on the pitch.
Long Eaton , had plenty of shots, with Jack, James, Colby and Reece all coming close to scoring.
Long Eaton keeper Sam, nominated man of the match, pulled off some brilliant saves, strong defending by Mason and hard working Jared and Dylan in midfield, kept Toton at bay.
But with three minutes to go, Sam saved a shot, which was to hot to hold and the Toton centre forward followed in to make the final score 1-1.
Long Eaton are now joint champions, but if we get a draw or win at Carlton on Tuesday, will be clear champions. Well played both teams, great game to watch, a great credit for all involved with both clubs.
