The Blues beat Loughborough University on Tuesday night 5-3 having trailed 2-0 and 3-1. A goal in injury time by Brad Wells sent the game in to Extra time where Markell Bailey and Thomas Cooper-Richards saw the Blues progress. Wells and Bailey had already scored in the match.

The draw means that the top 2 will face each other again as United are at home to Basford on New Years Day in the league. Earlier in the season it ended 1-1 at Greenwich Avenue. The 3rd round tie will take place at some point in February.

In the Derbyshire FA Cup, United who lost 3-1 at home to Mickleover Sports have been reinstated. This is due to "Sports" fielding an ineligible player. United will face Gresley FC away in the quarter finals which is scheduled for the 13th of January.
