United sign off the NCEL with an award

Blues win Fair Play award 2013/14

Long Eaton United, now a Midland Football League Premier side signed off the books with the NCEL by picking up the Fair Play award for the season.

The Blues won the monthly awards in October and November whilst finishing runners up in December

Throughout the season they only amassed an average of just 1.02 points (awarded for yellow and red cards) making a total of only 48 in 47 league and league cup appearances.

2nd place went to Brighouse Town who averaged 1.10 points per game, Barton Town were 3rd on 1.31 points per game.

It shows that Charlie Palmers men were the most sporting in the entire 2013/14 NCEL season. United also topped the NCEL divisional awards as a whole with Hall Road Rangers of Division One accumulating 1.04 points average.
