OLD Richians proved too strong for a youthful Longlevens in the North Gloucestershire Combination Senior Cup.
The hosts might have shipped four tries in defeat, but some of their second-half running rugby indicates their clear prowess at their own league level.
Scrum half Ryan Garrott opened the scoring for Richians, Mike Hagan converting then adding a penalty.

Longlevens rallied though, and Sam Smith snared an intercept try, Luke Peer converting.
Hagan added another Richians penalty, then the visitors muscled over from a maul for a second try.
After the break Longlevens clicked into gear, running everything from deep and terrorising the Richians' scramble defence.
Youngsters Danny Pitt, Louis Spencer and Dan Wilton clambered off the bench for the second half, and made a difference with their fresh legs and youthful impetus.
Trouble was, the home side could not force another score.
Try as they might, they could not break through.
Just when Longlevens thought they might grab a foothold, Richians turned the screw up front, and drove home two more forward-based scores to kill the contest.
There was still time for Levens to display some champagne rugby at the death, the youngsters attacking from deep but showing impressive maturity.
Longlevens and Gloucester legend Andy Deacon's son Oliver showed up well on his Combination Cup debut, as did fellow debutants Jedd Jones and Jamie Best.
Richians deserved the victory, but perhaps Levens merited another score.
