Longridge Town v Tempest Utd

"Fingers crossed that the weather is ok.."
- Manager Lee Ashcroft

Longridge return to the MRG, weather permitting, to face 5th placed Tempest Utd tomorrow with a 2pm kick off scheduled.

Manager Lee Ashcroft is well aware of the threat offered by Towns visitors, " I've seen Tempest this season and they are probably a better side away from home, as their record shows. It was disappointing not to play last week, and the weather's not looking great for tomorrow, but fingers crossed and we'll be ready whatever the condition's."

After last week's match at Slyne became the only top flight game postponed, title rivals Blackpool Wren Rovers closed the gap at the top of the West Lancashire League Premier Division to 7 points with a 4-0 home win over a new look Coppull side. The visitors were a shade unlucky to come away without at least a goal to show for their efforts, but Wren's ran out comfortable winners after Coppull were reduced to 10 men.

Suspensions to George Melling, Brad Carsley and both Morris', Danny and Ged, carry over into this Saturday's game, and there will be an early pitch inspection at the ground so please check the website or Twitter feed for updated information.

Hopefully, after 6 weeks without a home game, the weather relents and the lads can look forward to your continued support.
