Longridge Town v Tempest United

" An early opportunity to bounce back..."
- Manager Lee Ashcroft

Longridge return to the MRG tonight for the the first of three Home games that will go a long way to deciding their fate, as they bid to become West Lancashire League Premier Division Champions for the first time.

Town face Tempest Utd in a 7.30pm Kick Off looking to bounce back from Saturday's disappointing defeat at Southport Hesketh, and Manager Lee Ashcroft will welcome back Captain George Melling (pictured) from suspension.

Town ran out 7-1 winners in the return fixture just 6 weeks ago, and Ashey will be looking for a similar performance as his men look to get back to winning ways, " Obviously I was disappointed, to say the least, on Saturday but we have an early opportunity to bounce back and put things right with tonight's game. It's still in our hands and we are all aware that the last performance just wasn't good enough. I will be expecting a lot more of the lads against Tempest, and it's the first of three big home games for us."

Town remain 2 points clear at the top of the West Lanacshire League Premier Division, and a win tonight would place pressure on title rivals Blackpool Wren Rovers who Longridge are due to face in the final game of the season.

Kick Off is 7.30pm tonight, Admission inc Parking and a Programme is £3 for adults with Under 16's admitted for free. Your support, as ever, would be very much appreciated.
