Official Education Provider for the Club

..an outstanding opportunity for the Club..

Longridge Town are proud to announce the signing of a 2 year deal with Bootroom Academies, who will become the Official Education Provider for the Club.

Bootroom, headed up by former Liverpool and England player Steve McMahon alongside ex Liverpool Manager Roy Evans, will be holding trials shortly with their Football and Education course starting in September 2018.

Aimed at 16 to 18 year olds the 2 year qualification offers UCAS points allowing pupils to continue on to University should they wish to do so, and will be based at Town's home ground on Inglewhite Road.

Manager Lee Ashcroft (pictured alongside Steve McMahon) was delighted at the partnership, having been in discussions for several weeks, '' This is an outstanding opportunity for the Club to be involved in. We've been talking with Bootroom over the past month, and ironed out a few things, with the Committee unanimous in their support for the project.''

''The lads will be educated up here by Steve's team, and a Bootroom squad will play friendly games at a development level as they continue their footballing education. You'll see plenty of the lads around the place, and it's vital that they feel a part of the Club as well as being Bootroom students.''

''It's another step in the right direction for us here as we try to progress the Club both on and off the pitch.''
