Carlton won the toss and elected to bowl. The first Grange pairing of Michael and Finley scored 50 for 2 wickets. Rob and Max added 27 for 2. Ben and Hugo 72 for 4. The final pair added 37 for 1. All in all 374 for 9 giving a total of 329 after subtractions for wickets.

The first Carlton pair of Harry and Gregor W put on a hard fought 29 with the loss of 2 wickets. Seb and Angus added 37 without loss. Pete and Gregor F put on 22 for 2 whilst the last pair added 36 for 2. All in all 322 for 6 giving a total of 292 after deductions.

There was a lot of good cricket played by both teams: some excellent fast bowling by Grange and some particularly sharp fielding by Carlton. Players on both sides batted well and the game was played in a good spirit. It was the third Grange partnership of Ben and Hugo which made the difference - their 72 for 4 (or 52) took the game away from Carlton.
