In ferociously windy conditions, the loughborough girls knew from the off that the weather wasn't going to be ideal for their usual fast flowing style of play, however as usual the girls still went out with intentions of blasting away the opposition with their pace and fitness.

A hard first 30 minutes saw no score from either side, with some great phases being put together from both forwards and backs. With a nasty injury to an opposition player towards the end of the first half, the game was stopped and moved to another pitch. The momentary lapse of concentration from the opposition when play restarted, saw fly half Dowsett make the most of a hole in the defence and run in a well deserved first try for the home side.

Conversion (right in front of the post) was missed by a usually very consistent kicker Scottish!

The second half saw the game restart at an equally high intensity, and it didn't take long for the Loughborough ladies to exploit the space out wide with a lovely break from full back Dani Martin and an offload to put winger Seren Gough Walters in in the corner.

Hard work from the forwards to pull the defence left, enabled an overlap on the right, where quick and skillful passing from the backs saw outside centre Scottish crash over for her first try of the game, which she also converted.

Some great play by the Old Leams girls really pressed the loughborough defence, but fortunately the hard work in training paid off and they could not find a way through a solid defence.

The game was sealed on 75 minutes with a impressive try from winger Julia, cutting a hard line to break through the defence. Conversion was missed.

Needless to say the Loughborough girls were absolutely delighted with the win that puts them second in the table.
