At the recent Club EGM a motion was passed supporting the creation of a Refurbishment Programme Implementation Team made up of representatives of all areas of the club to assess the feasibility of the plans the club has to redevelop the club house in the short to mid-term. It is expected that a number of cost options will be presented before a 2nd EGM with an anticipated breakdown of the required fundraising and revenue stream to allow that second EGM to agree to develop the club house or if the Team do not find in favour to shelve the plans.

The Executive Committee have engaged with an architect and have approved a set of plans for the development of the club house which now need to be progressed

To this end the Executive Committee are now seeking to form a small subcommittee of volunteers from within the Club to assess the feasibility of the plans. Its remit will include, but is not limited to;

• Liaison with Charnwood Borough Council prior to obtaining Planning Permission, which is already in progress
• Obtaining planning permission.
• Completing the design specification for the planned development.
• Specifying a tender document and seeking competitive quotes.
• Identifying funding sources and meeting with those parties to understand what their needs are and how the club would go about accessing that money. The Club have already formed a new fund raising and Sponsorship group consisting of - Jez Malpas, Steve Harvey and Harry Venning and they will be able to assist the subcommittee.

• Planning applications
• Building design
• Tendering for building contracts
• Grant applications and funding
