First, we've had a request from Ted Ross, a former player who has lost his old team photos. Ted played for the 3rds as a prop between 1962 and 1966. Please contact Ted by email if you can help him.

The second request is to help to find more information about the club's history. David Kirkby, (kirkby.david@virginmedia.com), sent us this message via the website:

It's reported that the game of rugby has been played in Loughborough since the early 1880's, Loughborough RFC has played a major part in its development and continued enjoyment by many but never has it been recorded how it commenced, how it established it self, how it developed and its highs, lows & characters of the club over the 130+ years since some one decided that taking up the oval ball game was a good idea. I've commenced research into the history of the club and would like to ask through the website for any help in the form of information, sources of photographs, stories or contact names that may be able to help in putting together the clubs history.

If sufficient information and interest is forthcoming I would be interested in turning the research into a booklet for all to see how, over the years the club has given such pleasure to so many.
