Maria has done horse riding, alongside playing rugby, since her 4th birthday. She has played for various clubs during her career, finishing her junior rugby with Sleaford where she was captain for the 2012/2013 season. Maria has also coached tag rugby for 3 years and is a qualified rugby referee.
