3 points, that just about sums up the game for me, the fixture played on the poorest playing surface I have seen for a while at this level and we were of course pleased to see Sibo's strike nestle in the back of the net which eventually won us the game. Not a game for the purist but......i'll take the 3 points and Shepshed unfortuneatly are relegation material on that performance and Chalky has alot of work to do to turn things around this time around !!! |

Agreed, my comments entirely as I came out of the ground were "I'll take the three points". Shepshed looked a poor side and the pitch was terrible, add to that the gusty conditions and it was never going to be a classic. It was impossible to play the passing game on that pitch and we just did enough to grind out the result. We know we are better than that, but up to sixth in the table is a fantastic achievement. |

yes conditions were awful and didnt suit our passing game but i thought we totally dominated and should have been3 or 4 up at half time, fair play to shepshed they worked tirelssly but apart from one long range shot we never looked in any danger of conceding, top of the leics tree this season so far we have beaten shepshed ,coalville and quorn all twice up to sixth in table one place off playoffs [Post Edited Sunday 19th of February 2012 10:39 AM] |

Look at the report on the official Shepshed web site-- whoever writes these needs glasses. Sour grapes yet again. Ref to blame , our 'highly physical approach' to blame. But no blame attached to the fact that they currently don't have a side to compete at this level--who's to blame for that, probably the Ref that turns up every week !! |

I think Shepshed's problems stem from the pitch. You need Royalty in your team on that playing surface. A team full of King Edwards would be a good start!! |

Didn't see much of a problem with the report Luffbra Fox. Didn't rate the ref but we lost because we lack the quality in the team to survive at this level. The tiny budget doesn't help nor does the lack of stability with management and players over the last few years. Think'only me''s summary was spot on, hopefully we will meet again on the pitch before too long!Never seen our pitch that bad though. |

Agree with your comments Duncan--stabiity is key, but many of your supporters always blame the ref. They can't all be bad !!! |
