Well I know we need a certain striker back at the club, but he obviously doesn't need us! But what has happened to our once steady back four? I know Danny Jenno is missed but surely we have enough quality to stop the flow of goals hitting the back of our net? Oh for a boring nil, nil draw to stop the rot! Lets hear some views please! |

Do we need him back at the club. I don't think we do, we've scored 3 today so not sure that's the problem. We've got enough with Matt, Louis, Shawn, Dom and David. Defensively we have looked poor all season, thank god we usually have Laurie. We haven't replaced Danny Jenno - why we haven't gone out and signed a right back to replace him I don't know because Karl and Carl have both looked out of place. Time to enter the transfer market - but we should have done that 3 months ago! Need to stop the slide before its too late. [Post Edited Saturday 15th of September 2012 09:32 PM] |

Sorry Rob, to take your initial comments a little further I can assure you the former striker was hopeful of a return to the NSG after an uncomfortable time at premier club Ilkeston but due to the financial restraints at Loughborough Dynamo a deal over wages could not be compromised much to the disapointment of the player and alot of the fans I speak with. With reference to todays Trophy defeat, we don't seem to be able to defend set pieces giving away two gifted headed goals.We look quite a threat at times when Shaun is on his game and when we get some quality into the box but you need obviously quality personel in those areas to be a threat. Young Dom is a steady young player but is still developing at this level and his strike partners today just huffed and puffed making very little impact.It is a shame that the Clubs financial season has come to an end for another year exiting out of the two main FA competitions but to quote the old saying 'Lets concentrate on the League' to which I invisage being a long hard one at this rate. |

My reply to Saturdays defeat against Belper is the same as my thread 'Flummoxed'. We look good when we play on the deck , not when we hoof it up in the air 40yds away.It's not working ! Now lost count of the number of headed goals we have conceeded , three again on Sat !! If the coaches want to play that way then we do need a tall striker to play off. I noticed a number of regulars missing from Sat match, maybe they all have stiff necks! |
