The best way to keep up to date with Loughborough Dynamo FC

A Thank You from Mansfield Town

2 months ago By John Bryson

Mansfield Town have thanked Loughborough Dynamo for taking midfielder Alistair Smith on loan for most of the 2017-18 season.

Town’s Academy Coach Richard Cooper said “Alistair is only 18, but we felt at the start of the season that he was ready to go out on loan from our Academy and get the experience of men’s’ football, playing regularly on a Tuesday night and Saturday afternoon.

“We monitor all our Academy players out on loan, and I have been a regular visitor at Dynamo games this season and have seen the improvement in Alistair’s game. In his time with Dynamo he’s played over 40 competitive games and scored 13 goals from midfield, and the experience he has gained has been invaluable.

“He returned to us at Mansfield just before Easter, and since then he scored a hat-trick in one of our Reserve games.

“I would like to go on record and thank all at Loughborough Dynamo in how they made Alistair welcome and how they helped him improve as a player”.

Loughborough Dynamo Manager Peter Ward said” It’s been a pleasure having Alistair at the club. He was so easy to deal with, and we wish him all the best in his football career, and I would like to than Mansfield Town for loaning him to us”.
