In a first round tie last night Rothley Imperial came through their home encounter with Ingles via a penalty shoot out, after the game finished 3-3 at the end of normal time.

Ingles opened the scoring through Joe Moxon in the thirteenth minute and doubled their lead in the thirty-first minute when Ash White converted a penalty.

Two minutes later The Imps pulled a goal back, Reece Daniels turning home Matt King's centre. Ingles restored their two goal lead in the thirty-ninth minute when Ash White converted another penalty.

Imps Will Taylor made it 3-2 in the sixth-seventh minute with a spectacular cross-shot, and the scores were level two minutes later through Reece Daniels.

Ingles left back Matt Neal was shown a straight red card in the seventh-fourth minute for a tackle.

Both teams went for the winner, but the score was 3-3 at the end of ninety minutes and the game went to penalties.
