The best way to keep up to date with Loughborough Dynamo FC

Dynamo's Academic Lean

10 months ago By John Bryson

Loughborough Dynamo's Management Team will have an academic lean this season,

The club was founded by Loughborough Grammar School pupils in 1955, and played its first league match 60 years ago, and this season has an academic lean on the club’s team management.

First Team Coach Jay Groocock joined the club in late 2016, shortly before Manager Peter Ward, who arrived just after Christmas last year.

Both return for the new season, and are joined on the management team by Lee Attenborough. who arrived during the Summer.

Peter is an experienced Manager, having worked in that capacity at all the four top levels of English non-league football. Jay and Lee are both in their mid-twenties, and away from Dynamo are involved in the academic profession.

Jay is from Leicester and is a graduate of Loughborough College and Nottingham Trent University, and is qualified to coach up to and including Football League Championship level. As well as Jay’s coaching role with Dynamo, he is back at Loughborough College as the Head of Elite Football.

Lee is a former Dynamo player who saw his playing career due to injury. He started his football management last year at as Manager of Sileby Town in the Leicestershire Senior League, before going up one level to join East Midlands Counties club Ashby Ivanhoe. Lee has gone up two more levels in the non-league pyramid in joining Dynamo as Assistant Manager in June this year.

Lee is a Loughborough University graduate and is a geography teacher at Redmoor Academy in Hinckley.

The present day links with Loughborough Grammar School are through two old boys of LGS, Dynamo Director Frank Fall and Press Officer John Bryson.
