Read the thoughts of Dynamo defender after they lost 2-1 to Tadcaster Albion

Loughborough Dynamo defender Luke Foster thought that “the game potentially should’ve been dead and buried at half-time” as his side fell to a 2-1 defeat against Tadcaster Albion at the ADT Stadium.

Jack Walters scored a brace for the Brewers either side of a Ryan Robbins equaliser – The defeat means that Dynamo drop into the bottom half of Evo Stik Northern Premier League East Division.

Dynamo created a lot of good opportunities in the first-half and were largely the better team in the first 45 – Foster admitted after the game that it is “frustrating”. He said: “I’m very disappointed for the simple fact that, they are a good team who are aiming for play-offs and promotion. I thought we were the better team and we’ve lost from two set pieces, two corners which is obviously disappointing. Yeah frustrating really more than anything because I thought we played well and I thought the game potentially should’ve been dead and buried at half-time.”

Both of Tadcaster’s goals came from corner-kick’s and Foster agreed that it is a problem. “It is yeah because we are conceding too many as well. I think it is five from set pieces in the last seven games which is absolutely not good enough. We know that and we tried something different today and for whatever reason it didn’t work,” he said.

Dynamo striker Karl Demidh missed a penalty in the first half and Foster said: “Demi (Karl Demidh) will finish most of them and you know he scores a lot of goals and you can’t have a go at your strikers for missing penalties. He should’ve scored it, he knows that but it sometimes can be a gamechanger because they went up the field and scored. Yes we got one (a goal) straight away but yeah things like that moments in games can change the whole aspect of how the game pans out.”

Loughborough travel to Sheffield FC next (23.02.19, 3pm kick-off) and the Dynamo defender agreed that it is important to bounce back. “You’ve to always have that bounce back ability. That’s what I like to call it and you’ve got to try and bounce back with a good result. We are on a bit of a dip, was such a good run four or five on the bounce and now lost more than we’ve won in the last few games, disappointing.”
