INDIVIDUAL battles are the key to Dynamo’s hopes of reversing their poor home form when they face Norton on Saturday, joint manager Lee Morris believes.

“It’s going to be another fight from start to finish and I think the team that wins the most individual battles will win,” he said.

“”I think we are on one of those runs at the moment and until we change our mentality as a group and try being more positive and aggressive, it’s going to carry on.

“ I think there were green shoots on Saturday but the black and white of it was 4-0 and until we really dig in and take it to teams from the start, that will continue, so it’s down to us to change it.”

He was feeling “a little more positive” after Saturday’s defeat at Gresley, when Dynamo fielded a whole new midfield trio.

Lee thought the experienced Mark Camm showed he’s “the type of player we need”, while Matt Thorpe impressed with his powerful running going forward and Tom Liversage showed a lot of ability on the ball. But the highlight was the return of Ant Marriott, who came on as sub for 20 minutes.

Dynamo switched to a three at the back and, despite the result, Lee did not think that caused problems.

“I don’t think any of the goals came from disorganisation between the back three; it was just individual errors.”

He felt Nial Dawkins had one of his best games since joining the club, getting up and down the left flank well, which suited Dynamo’s use of two strikers – but more attacking threat was needed.

“I think the disappointing thing was that we had a few chances but we just needed a bit more movement and energy up front – but we will work on that.”

He remained confident that Dyanmo would be safe from relegation, saying: “We just something to change, be it a clean sheet or a bit of luck – something to go our way and give the lads a bit of belief. We seem to have lost it in recent weeks. We are too good to be on this run – but it’s got to come from us.”
