The best way to keep up to date with Loughborough Dynamo FC

Peter Reflects on Saturday

2 months ago By John Bryson

Loughborough Dynamo Manager Peter Ward has reflected on Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Market Drayton Town.

“I was pleased with the two back to back wins, away at Spalding United and this home game, scoring six goals in the process.

“Market Drayton wanted the points in their relegation battle, and we were missing several players, particularly in our midfield. We had to move Luke Thorogood and Dan Gordon into the midfield. Luke’s being playing mainly at right back this season for us, and Dan is a wide left midfielder, but at Spalding he was left wing back and for Market Drayton he was in midfield.

“The first half was a really dismal affair. We had a chat at half time and I said we needed to up the tempo of our game, and credit to my players that’s what they did.

“I’ve got several players back for this coming Saturday’s trip to Stamford, who are in the play off hunt, so it will be a stiff challenge for us”.
