Dynamo had two good chances in the opening minutes, Jamie Clarke laying a ball back into the area, but Dynamo were unable to get the vital touch, then following a corner Danny Gibbons hit a shot that beat the keeper but hit the crossbar. Having survived the opening scares it was Quorn who took the lead, Kris Nurse
finishing from a Rob Norris
cross. For the next twenty minutes Quorn took the game to Dynamo, who looked at sixes and sevens and Dynamo hit too many aimless balls forward allowing Quorn to build their next attack. Liam Turner saw a flicked header just go wide of the post and Carl Sibson
needed to get a timely tackle in on Nurse to prevent a shot on goal. Dynamo did build the occasional attack and following a foul on Shawn Richards a short free kick resulted in a four man move which Clarke finished with aplomb has he curled a shot, from wide on the edge of the area, into the far corner of the net to give Dynamo a twenty fourth minute equaliser. For the remainder of the half the game went from end to end and both sides created half chances that came to nothing.
In the second half Dynamo had an early opportunity to take the lead, when from a corner there was a scramble in the six yard box, but with the ball bouncing all around Dynamo were unable to get the touch to prod the ball home. The game continued to go from end to end, Luke Edwards heading over the bar, following a Dynamo free kick, whilst at the other end Ash Robinson put in a low cross that went across the face of Dynamo’s goal, the ball going out wide to Norris who fired in a shot but Danny Gibbons got in a block. With about an hour on the clock a Quorn ball forward went to Nurse who looked to be clear on goal but a great recovering tackle by Danny Jenno prevented a shot, this was followed by a strong run from Joe Shaw whose shot was blocked for a corner. Laurie Pearson collecting the corner went long to Edwards who cross was deflected into his own net by Shaw. Dynamo then created a number of chances but their shooting was wasteful has their efforts went wide of the target. Quorn then had Dan Marshall
dismissed for a second caution but thought they had got themselves back into the game when a long ball forward was collected by Nurse who tucked the ball into the net, but celebrations were cut short as the assistant had flagged for offside. Dynamo secured the points in the thirty ninth minute, when Edwards scored with a diving header from a Dom Brennan cross. Worse was still to come for Quorn when Tommy Hannigan was shown a straight red and Dynamo played out a comfortable last ten minutes against nine men.
