FA Cup defeat for Dynamo
Dynamo exited the FA Cup defeated at the first hurdle by United Counties League side Bottesford Town
From the kick off it was all Bottesford, they should have taken the lead in the first minute when a low cross went across the face of Dynamo's goal but no one was there to touch the ball into the net. However Dynamo's reprieve was short lived when Jack McMenemy netted for Bottesford in the ninth minute.
It was almost midway through the first half before Dynamo created any sort of chance Josh Riley playing in a ball, but like Bottesford in the first minute a Dynamo player was unable to get a touch. Moments later a Liam Read pass released Jordan Wilson but one on one with the keeper he elected to try and round the keeper who took the ball off Wilson’s feet.
Having looked as though they were getting into the game Dynamo found themselves two nil down in the twenty fifth minute when Dale Hutson latched onto a half cleared ball and from the edge of the area rifled the shot into the net.
In the final ten minutes of the half Karl Demidh saw a goal bound effort saved by the Bottesford's keeper’s feet and Louis Keenan hammered a shot goal wards but a packed penalty area resulted in the shot being blocked.
If Dynamo had a difficult task to come back from two nil down at half time they had a mountain to climb in the fifty sixth minute when McMenemy netted his second and Bottesford's third.
They did give themselves a glimmer of hope when following a corner there was goalmouth scramble and Wilson prodded the ball home. Demidh then hit a shot just wide of the target before Dynamo scrambled a ball off their goal line.
Dynamo continued to press and won a series of free kicks but were unable to capitalise on any of them, but in the eighty eighth minute a long range effort from Danny Gordon flew into the net.
However any dreams of Dynamo getting a late equaliser were dashed when Craig Bridge added Bottesford's fourth following a quick counter attack.
