Louisville 7’s has a long history of success and is a program committed to being a nationally recognized 7-a-side team. We run both a men’s side and a high-school squad, and play in some of the top 7’s tournaments in the US.

Louisville has advanced to the USA Club 7’s Championship Tournament on three occasions: 1992, 1999 and 2003. Significant tournament wins include the Club Division Championship at Cape Fear, a finals appearance in the Cape Fear Open Division, the Plate Championship at the highly regarded Potomac Athletic Club 7’s tourney in Washington, DC, and a score of MW tourney wins including Cleveland, Cincinnati and Lakefront.

Louisville is a Division III team in the Midwest Territory, yet we commonly play 7’s against the best teams in the US and have posted wins over DI and Super League sides including the Washington RFC, Kansas City Blues, Cincinnati Wolfhounds, St. Louis Bombers, Charlotte Olde Originals and the Chicago Lions.

Louisville players regularly play with the MW7’s All-Stars, and several players have been invited to try-out for the USA 7’s National Team. Two have advanced to the team, most recently James Gillenwater.

Serious athletes seeking a high-level sport are invited to join the club. No experience is necessary and everyone gets to play. Collegiate and regional players who’s clubs are not fielding teams for the summer season are also invited to play with Louisville*. Social players and Old Boys are welcome to come play touch and have some fun in the sun.

Practices are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm in Seneca Park. For further info, please contact Anthony Noe at 502.345.4039 or the LRFC hotline at 502 LV-Rugby.
