North Norfolk 1 4 - 0 Lowestoft Railway
Railways 7 game win streak comes to an end.
Lowestoft railway travelled to North Norfolk this week for a top of the table clash. Railway started brightly, with the wings of McNamera and Hall and the centre midfield pair of Ayers and Harris breaking up Norfolk play and creating counter attacking moves but with no end product. From the initial attacks from railway, they became frustrated and allowed North Norfolk into the game with counter attacks of their own, with two goals scored in quick succession that was a blow to railway. Railway then started to take a step back, with more Norfolk attacks on goal, but the defence of Trindall, Croft, Barnard and Marshall kept any attack at bay until half time.
Railway came back out fighting in the second half, with more control came more chances at the Norfolk goal, and without a keeper in top form railway could have punished and got back into the game but this was not meant to be. With Railway pushing forward to get back into the game, North Norfolk took advantage of the gaps starting to form at the back and converted two more goals on the breakaway.
It was a great effort by Railway who never gave up trying to get back into the game when they could have tried to have damage limitation, they kept going.
