Lowestoft Town chairman Gary Keyzor has urged potential sponsors and partners to “get on board with the Trawlerboys” as the club prepares for increasing regional and national exposure.

The club will make history by competing in the Football Conference next season – a fact that sees only three divisions separate the ambitious Trawlerboys from their Football League neighbours, Ipswich Town and Norwich City.

Keyzor is urging local companies, including the area’s nationally-important energy hub, to “get in quick” to show their support.
“We have main sponsorships and partner programmes available for local companies, and we would like to see them on board,” he said. “The club is a local success story, and we now offer regional and national profile, and the opportunity to support our principles of being the region’s community club.”

The Chairman, who has led the club to three promotions in recent years, rising rapidly up the FA’s football pyramid, said it wasn’t just about branding and commercial opportunities though. “Of course there is media interest, huge social media possibilities, and the opportunity for our sponsors to treat their clients and suppliers to exciting football at Crown Meadow.”

“But we are at heart a football family at Lowestoft. We will continue to grow our Football in the Community programme encouraging local boys and girls to get into football. We will connect with local schools and local youth football leagues, and our sponsors can be part of that too.”
