IRELAND TOUR Friday 24th to Monday 27th AUGUST 2012 OK Folks We're at the stage where we need to collect some money for the Best event of 2012 (forget the Olympics, we're off on tour!) The plan so far is as follows: · Depart L&Y early Friday 24th August 2012 by coach to airport. · Fly to Shannon in Ireland, then take a coach tour to Galway, arriving early evening. · Three nights' accommodation in the City Centre of Galway - either in a hostel or hotel. · A game of Rugby on the Saturday followed by a night in town. · A "Presidents Mystery Coach Tour" on the Sunday to take in some local ambiance. · Recovery, and journey home on Monday 27th August. Costs include transfers, flights, accommodation, tour stash and insurance. Hopefully we'll have some left over to start a beer kitty. Fines will be payable during the weekend at Daily Kangaroo Court. Allow some cash for drink, Guinness, alcohol, Murphys, maybe some entrance fees, and possibly some food, oh, and some drink! We are booking everything direct and not using a tour operator. This is a non-profit making exercise and prices are based on quotations received now, Sept 2011. The sooner we collect money and book, the cheaper it will be (especially for flights) and the more we'll have in the kitty. If you leave the decision to come, and payment, until later, we may not have room, and it will be more expensive. For hostel Accommodation it will be £350, for hotel rooms add another £100. Minimum £100 deposit cheques (made to "L&Y Irish Tour 2012") are required by Saturday 15th October to book your place. Further payments by lump sums or instalments by 1st July 2012. Attached is a standing order mandate so you can set up regular payments from your bank accounts. Return them with cheques to Matt or Fergal, or speak to them about any other arrangements you wish to make. All money is being held in a separate HSBC account. The £100 deposit is non-refundable.
