The Club has lost another two huge parts of our family. Both Ex-President John Skipper and Club Stalwart Brian "Taffy" Howard have passed away.

John was Club President from 2009 to 2011 and has been a club stalwart for many years. He was renowned for his incredible public speaking and great sense of humour but unfortunately has been suffering with cancer for the past year or so. We have heard that he lost his brave battle last night.

Taffy was an Prison Officer at HMP Blundeston and played at the club for many years before becoming a referee. He was at the heart of many tours, youth and senior teams and being a PTI, was well known for his (sadistic) fitness sessions, fantastic Welsh humour and constant banter. He was on holiday in Panama with his wife when he suffered a heart attack and passed away in hospital yesterday. His son Gary, another L&Y ex-member, if flying out to repatriate them.

With the news of ex-Norfolk and L&Y President John 'Neddy' Harris, this has been a terribly sad week for the L&Y club.

More details to follow.
