Brian Moore has cancelled his visit to L&Y following a heart attack, so now England and Harlequins no8, Nick Easter is at the Gents Dinner on 19th May

If you haven't already done it, please BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW for the L&Y Annual Gentleman's Dinner.

Its on Friday 19th May 2017 at IVY HOUSE COUNTRY HOTEL, Oulton Broad, and will once again be raising money towards introducing and teaching rugby to schoolchildren throughout the Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth areas. Because the local schools do not regularly play rugby we, as a club, have to fund coaches to go into schools and introduce our fabulous sport along with its fundamental core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

We've been having a fun time with guest speakers this year. First Graham Rowntree got called away to NZ with the Lions, Shaun Edwards and Martin Corry doubled booked other clubs, Brian Moore has had a heart attack and his wife won't let him come to see us (we even had a defribrillator ready!). So now we have our old friend NICK EASTER coming to speak. Nick had to call off late a couple of years ago but is confirmed (according to the agent!) and has spent the last two years polishing up his act, whilst retiring from playing with Harlequins and England and now coaching the Harlequins forwards alongside Graham Rowntree. He's a huge man, never short of an opinion, and will be a superb speaker.

On top of this great news, we still have a superb 5-course meal from the staff at Ivy House, we have comedian Zak Stevens to finish off the night and we have even managed to cut down Danny Steel's auction banter by introducing a superb Silent Auction with tons of Sports, Arts, and Movie memorabilia plus events and activities to auction.

There are still a few tables left to fill, so please contact Matt Jary to book your spaces. Tables of 10 people or more. Tickets are £60 each (concessionary rates for fully paid L&Y playing members and L&Y coaches). Invoices will be sent out for payment prior to the event.

Don't wait. Round up some guys and give me a call.

Cheers
