Superb away performance

The pinks were away against Dewsbury rangers who sat just above us in the league before kick off.

The game was played on a bit of a cow field but that didn’t stop the lads playing some brilliant football throughout.

The first half was a very entertaining affair with both teams having chances. Charlie hitting the bar with a free kick from 25 yards , Taylor back playing CAM feeding Kev and Callum but we just couldn’t find the net and if not for an absolute worldy save from Ollie from a Dewsbury free kick we could’ve been 1-0 down.

However it was 0-0 at the break and the lads started the second half as they’d finished the first with some great passing again. After 10 minutes kev received a pass and ran Into the box Hit his shot and it looped up and over their keeper to give us a 1-0 lead.

After that we created a host of chances but their keeper was in inspired form.

We dominated the half apart from the last 5 minutes when they threw everything at us but we stood strong and never let them break the back line.

A massive improvement in recent weeks in our desire to be to the loose balls first and put real challenges in was a big difference. Every lad ran their socks off and the whole squad deserve massive credit after some recent bad results.

A Very proud coaching team today.

Ash’s captains motm went to Oliver George who pulled that great save off but had an all round great game commanding his box and making everything look easy.

Coaches motm was the hardest to Choose so far this season but Callum ward was given it after a great centre forward performance that treaty deserved a goal for his efforts. He constantly put the defence under pressure and was a nightmare for them running himself into the ground and always been an option for the midfielders.
