At this moment the club seems to have been impacted by a number of tragic events. It is with much sorrow that we tell you Gary Clark sadly passed away last night. This was despite the considerable efforts from club members and professionals. Numerous people (far too many to mention here as missing out anyone may cause offence) worked extremely hard to help Gary including, Chris Lavallee, an off duty police office and Hitchin player, who had been playing against our 3rd XV. I think to everyone's credit the way in which all members and visitors conducted themselves during, what was an emergency, was first class - thank you all.
Obviously the thoughts of the entire club go to Gary Clark's family and close friends. When there are further details we shall aim to keep all informed.
