Stand in manager Luke steers side to a win

With Nelly away on a scouting mission in the Cotswolds, it was stand in manager Luke Clarke who led the 3rd team to a fine win at Redside in Sling.
A Steve Jones strike gave us the lead before the home side levelled soon after.
Dave Lane(pictured) restored our lead which we held to the break.

An assist from Ricky Burcher saw Dave add a classy finish for his second early in the second half. The home side pulled another one back and it was left to the prolific Ricky Burcher who added to his growing tally with a late penalty to see us home 4-2.

The 4th side went one better at home to Regency Reserves in the Cup when they won 5-2. It was handy that Harry Williams fancied a run out when Dan was short of players as the Reserves front man hit a first half hattrick. The visitors did pull one back after some poor defending just before the break.
They also started the second half better and bagged another to close the gap to just one goal.
Jason Berry calmed the nerves with a decent strike before Josh Bethell crowned a fine week, in which he passed his driving test first time, when he hit the goal of the day to see us win 5-2 and go into the next round.
